Older fans will be pulling for Vince Gill to win an ACM Award, and viewers should be as well, if only to see the always quick-witted and entertaining singer give an acceptance speech. This ballad received very little airplay, but received almost unanimous praise from critics. Gill's voice is still in top form, even if he's been ignored by country radio over the last decade.

This song will win if: Voters become nostalgic. Many voters will be listening to this song for the first time shortly before placing their votes. That doesn't bode well for Gill. The lyric -- a man consoling his wife as he prepares for death -- is unique and delivered with appropriate sympathy. It's a difficult song to finish, which in this case is a high compliment.
