Andy Griffith was an award-winning southern gospel singer, but he only recorded a few lines for country music. The actor lent his voice and image to Brad Paisley for 'Waitin' on a Woman' in 2008, but his most influential work came long before that. As the star of 'The Andy Griffith Show' (and later, 'Matlock'), he entertained generations with his folksy brand of humor. The 86-year-old died on July 3, 2012 in his home in eastern North Carolina.
