After a fun evening at the CMA Awards, celebrating nominations for Male Vocalist of the Year and Musical Event of the Year and a standout performance of his new single “Gonna," Blake Shelton turned to Twitter to express his excitement and gratitude. The singer's life is on the upswing after a tough summer.

Shelton was sure to add a heartfelt salute to mainstream newcomer Chris Stapleton, who swept three awards at the event and delivered a truly jaw-dropping performance with Justin Timberlake that had everyone buzzing.

The artist has said he is “in a good place” as he continues to heal from a difficult season of loss surrounding his divorce from fellow country star Miranda Lambert, and this comment on Twitter is a testament. Some of the "great things” Shelton is referencing might include his role as a celebrity coach on The Voice, as well as his recently-announced romance with Gwen Stefani, another coach on the show. Though Stefani did not attend the CMA Awards with Shelton, a rep officially confirmed the rumors Wednesday (Nov. 4) shortly before the ceremony.

Shelton has been a part of The Voice since its inception. The show is now on its ninth season. The "Honey Bee" hitmaker will headline Country Jam 2016 next summer.
