The anticipation for Blake Shelton's new single, 'Honey Bee,' has been building for weeks. Shelton debuted the single at the 46th annual Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday night, and if the crowd's reaction is any indication of how the song will do for the singer, he has yet another hit on his hands.

The song showcases the romantic, softer side of the singer, as he sings about young love:

"Girl, I've been thinking about us / And you know I ain't good at this stuff / These feelings piling up won't give me no rest / This might come out a little crazy / A little sideways maybe, yeah maybe / I don't know how long it will take me / But I'll do my best," he sings in the first verse.

The new tune is the perfect summertime song about the sweet romances that occur during those warm months where honey suckles bloom and honey bees swarm.

"You be my soft and sweet / I'll be your strong and steady / You be my glass of wine / I'll be your shot of whiskey / You be my sunny day / I'll be your shade tree / You be my honey suckle / I'll be your honey bee," Shelton sings in the song's chorus.

If the tune has a familiar ring to it, it might be because it was penned by 2/3 of the Peach Pickers -- Rhett Akins and Ben Hayslip -- who along with Dallas Davidson, wrote Shelton's previous chart-topping hit, 'All About Tonight.'
