After a short introduction from host Kimberly Perry, hilarious country boy Blake Shelton took the stage on the 'CMA Music Festival: Country's Night to Rock' special, shot back in June, to sing 'Over' with his soothing, deep voice. Shelton's number was the second love ballad of the night, but that didn't stop the crowd from staying on their feet for the entirety of his performance.

Without a guitar in hand, Shelton was on stage solely to lend his award-winning voice to his hit song. Luckily, his skillful band backed him up by playing the beautiful tune. With temperatures in the 90s on that hot night, Shelton was glistening with sweat -- but that didn't stop him from putting on an energetic performance.

Despite the emotional feel of 'Over,' CMA Music Festival attendees sang along to the song and screamed their heads off when it was over.

Shelton scored four nominations at this years upcoming CMA Awards show. The 'Honeybee' hitmaker is up for Entertainer of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, Song of the Year for 'Over You,' and Single of the Year for 'God Gave Me You.'
