A Maren Morris cover helped The Voice contestant Casi Joy advance to the next round on Monday's (April 3) episode of the singing show.

The knockout rounds commenced after a week of battle rounds, with coach Blake Shelton pitting country singer Joy against vocal powerhouse Felicia Temple. Joy selected Morris' "My Church" as a way to showcase the unique tone in her voice, with her coach describing the song selection as one that "gives her a chance to really solidify the fact that she's a little edgier version of a country artist."

Dressed in a gold halter top and emerald green skirt with her hair in an updo, Joy did Morris, and the hit song, proud with her strong vocals that included a solid note at the end. Joy managed to honor the original version of the track while also adding her own style to it, with a guitar in hand all the while. Temple also delivered an incredible performance of Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On," showing off her show-stopping vocal ability.

After the performances, coach Alicia Keys said Joy demonstrated "great control" and that she had "chills" during Temple's staging. Gwen Stefani also commended the country singer, saying she exuded confidence from the moment she stepped on stage. But it was Shelton who had the final word, telling Joy that she hit "full voice, full confidence notes" and that there's never any stopping her before declaring her as the winner, much to the shock of the aspiring country star.

The Voice continues to air every Monday and Tuesday night at 8PM ET on NBC.
