Poor Chris Cagle. The singer has been forced to bow out of this year's much anticipated WGNA Countryfest, which is slated to be held July 9th in Albany, New York. Cagle has to have surgery on his throat, thus forcing the singer to cancel his upcoming shows.

According to WGNA, Cagle -- perhaps best known for his hit, 'I Breath In, I Breathe Out' -- will be undergoing throat surgery, and will embark on a post-operative recovery period, forcing him to table performances for the time being. Cagle's management informed the station of the singer's situation and his medical ailments.

Now that Cagle is sitting Countryfest out, singer John Michael Montgomery has been added to the lineup as a replacement. Other acts slated to hit the stage at Countryfest 2011 on July 9 include Miranda Lambert, Randy Houser and Sunny Sweeney, to name a few.

WGNA and Taste of Country wish Cagle all of the best and we are praying for a speedy recovery.
