This week in Texas country music, 'Texas on My Mind' hitmaker Cory Morrow is sitting high on his perch at No. 1 on the Texas music chart with his latest single, 'Lead Me On.' That's great news for Morrow, who was nestled in the No. 2 spot just last week.

Sitting behind Morrow in the second place slot this week is the regularly spun Eli Young Band with their insanely catchy hit 'Crazy Girl,' naturally. Taste of Country caught up with Lee Brice and Liz Rose (who also lent a hand to Morrow) recently, who co-penned the 'Crazy' song, and they opened up about the story behind the lyrics. As for EYB, the quartet's new album, 'Life at Best' -- which features the hit track -- is scheduled to impact on August 16.

Third on this week's list, and up from No. 5 last week, is Cross Canadian Ragweed's Cody Canada and his band the Departed with 'Ballad of Rosalie.' Kevin Fowler also makes a sizeable leap at the end of June with his cold one-inspired fun single, 'Hell Yeah, I Like Beer,' which doubled its money from No. 8 to the No. 4 spot this week.

Stay tuned to Taste of Country as we bring you the latest on what's happening in Texas country music week after week.
