The Voice Season 7 winner Craig Wayne Boyd has a smile on his face. The singer and his fiancee, Taylor Borland, welcomed a baby girl to their family on New Year's Eve.

Dakota Lynne weighed 5.3 lbs and measured 17.5 inches when she was born at 5:37PM on Dec. 31 in Nashville. Both Taylor and Dakota are doing well, according to a press release.

Boyd and Borland announced the pregnancy with a fun post to Instagram in October, posting a picture of four jack-o'-lanterns — one for each member of the family, which at that time included Boyd's 3-year-old son, Jaxon, and one for the expected arrival. Boyd captioned the photo, "And then there were 4 ..."

The couple met in December of 2014, after Boyd won Season 7 of The Voice. They got engaged in June.

“She is the one that helps me get away from all of the craziness and keeps me grounded,” Boyd told Country Weekly after their engagement announcement. “I had thought of a lot of different ways of asking her to marry me, but I thought, what better place to do it than after a show, when we were just there hanging out with my band family in June.”

Boyd released a hit single, "My Baby's Got a Smile on Her Face," after winning The Voice, and opened for Rascal Flatts during their Vegas residency. He recently released a cover of "I'll Be Home for Christmas," and after undertaking legal action to get out of his record deal, he plans to release a single independently in early 2016.
