Jerrod Niemann has entered the Hall of Fame with his latest single, "Blue Bandana," after winning five straight Showdowns. We're starting fresh today and over the weekend with a new faceoff between David Nail and Pat Green.

Nail's new single is "Night's on Fire," the first we've heard of his upcoming studio album. The track takes him in a very contemporary direction, production-wise, juxtaposing banjo and electric guitar over an electronic beat while Nail tells the story of a date that doesn't end when the night does.

Green's latest release is "While I Was Away," which packs an emotional wallop. The song describes the difficulties of a parent who is missing out on large sections of a child's life while they are out trying to earn a living in order to raise that child, and it's a tear-jerker from first to last. Will Green's loyal fans turn out to vote, or will Nail move on to another Showdown round?

Listen to clips of both Nail and Green’s songs and vote for your favorite here. You can vote once every hour until this Showdown ends on Monday at 8AM ET, so come back and vote often to be sure your artist wins. The winner of this matchup will face a new challenger on Monday.

Showdown Rules: The song with the most votes wins, and the winner goes on to face a new challenger in the next Showdown. Vote as much as once per hour online. If a song wins five Showdowns in a row, it will be retired into the Taste of Country Showdown Hall of Fame to allow for new songs to compete. Some songs will be considered for a second Showdown if voter turnout is healthy in a losing effort.
