Watch Dolly Parton Give Jimmy Fallon a Palm Reading With a Surprising Ending
Dolly Parton appeared on the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday night (Nov. 20), and the singer had a surprise for the talk show host.
It began when Parton and Fallon were discussing Parton's Netflix series, Dolly Parton's Heartstrings. Fallon brought up actress Kathleen Turner, who plays a clairvoyant woman that Parton knew growing up. She also mentioned that psychic abilities run in her family.
"I kind of have a little bit of that," Parton said when Fallon asked if she was psychic.
Fallen then asked the "Jolene" singer to read his palm, before Parton hilariously responded with "Well, I'm not a fortune teller, but I can try."

Parton then took Fallon's palm and gave him a few "surprising revelations" about his future.
"I can see you're going to be very successful with a late-night talk show," said Parton, adding, "and that you have a very long..."
She paused long enough to make the moment seem risque before finishing, " ... career ahead of you."
Parton then told Fallon that she saw a "melted M & M" in his hand before she hilariously took his hand and began to lick it, causing Fallon to exclaim that he was never washing it again.
Dolly Parton's Heartstrings is a new Netflix series based around eight of Parton's classic songs: "These Old Bones," "J.J. Sneed," "If I Had Wings," "Cracker Jack," "Sugar Hill," "Down From Dover," "Two Doors Down" and "Jolene," which the singer discussed during her appearance on Fallon's show.
Paton says she recently saw the woman who inspired her to write the song, and used her famous humor when talking about the situation.
"I did see Jolene not long ago. She's not so hot now." Parton joked.
