Dustin Lynch is quickly establishing himself as a country music superstar with the success of his latest single, "Small Town Boy." The track sits at No. 1 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart for the fourth week in a row, earning the designation as the longest-running single in the top spot on the chart in 2017.

This marks the first time a single has been in the No. 1 position on the Country Airplay chart for four consecutive weeks since Thomas Rhett did it in 2016 with "Die a Happy Man."

“I always knew ‘Small Town Boy’ was something special, but to be No. 1 for four weeks is absolutely incredible. It’s been amazing to see people embrace this song and to have the continued support of Country radio," Lynch says about the song's success in a press release. "If I had to sum up my ‘current mood’ right now, it’d definitely be pumped!”

Naturally, Dustin Lynch Was a Bit of a Teenage Romeo

Not only has "Small Town Boy" achieved gold certification from the RIAA, it also drew the largest audience for a one-week period during the week of Sept. 23. The second single off his latest album Current Mood serves as the singer's fifth consecutive No. 1 overall, preceded by the chart-topping and also gold certified hit "Seein' Red."

Current Mood debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart after its release on Sept. 8. Lynch will support the album with his first ever headlining tour, the Ride or Die Tour, in 2017, brining along Michael Ray, Lanco and Ryan Hurd as opening acts. The tour kicks off Nov. 3 in North Carolina and continues through December.
