Faith Hill Says a Collaboration With Notorious B.I.G ‘Sounds Awesome’
Faith Hill got in on the act after an erroneous tweet reported that she was releasing a collaboration with deceased rapper Notorious B.I.G., responding online that she loved the idea.
Someone at CNN incorrectly tweeted that Hill had announced she was working on an album that would feature collaborations with the rap legend, who died in 1997 in a drive-by shooting that remains unsolved. The tweet was accompanied by a picture of Faith Evans and the rapper, and the story it linked to correctly identified Evans as the singer who is working on an album of collaborations.
Though CNN posted a correction shortly after sending the first tweet, Twitter users jumped all over the error, sharing comical GIFs of Hill and poking fun at the news organization for the erroneous report.
“I hope Sean Penn hops on a track or two,” one Twitter user quipped, sharing a picture of rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs instead of the Oscar-winning actor.
Shortly thereafter, Hill herself responded to the report in a humorous tweet.
Though it's unlikely we'll be seeing the gangsta side of Faith Hill in an upcoming project, she and husband Tim McGraw do have a new song, "Keep Your Eyes on Me," in his new film, The Shack, which is set to open in theaters on March 3. They will also hit the road in April for their 2017 Soul2Soul Tour, which marks the first time Hill has toured in a decade. The superstar couple will also be the subject of an exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville, which is slated to open in November.
