Florida Georgia Line Try Out Backstreet Boys’ Moves in ‘Crossroads’ Sneak Peek
Florida Georgia Line have found some new best buds in the Backstreet Boys, having recently announced they’ll be teaming up with the boy band for an episode of CMT’s Crossroads, and now fans can get a sneak peek of the show. One of the songs from the episode is up online — a version of Backstreet Boys’ classic “Everybody” — and let us tell you, it is a blast.
Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley seem to be having the best time onstage with the pop stars, grabbing a few lines in the pre-chorus each and working the crowd. They even jump in (literally) toward the end with the well-known choreography from the song, and we have to say, they keep up pretty well.
The clip is one big party, with seven guys on stage singing and giving it their all. Check out the full performance of the 1998 hit above — we dare you not to at least tap your foot.
Artists Who Unexpectedly Went Country
Florida Georgia Line have fostered a bond with Backstreet Boys since they teamed up for the song “God, Your Mama and Me,” which appears on FGL’s most recent record Dig Your Roots. The song recently hit No. 1 on country radio, and Dig Your Roots was just certified Platinum. The supergroup played the song, as well as “Everybody,” on the ACM Awards in April, getting every country star on their feet for the fun, nostalgic performance — including Tim McGraw.
FGL have been feeling pop music lately, as they are also featured on a new song from pop star Bebe Rexha called “Meant to Be.” When they’re not collaborating with other artists, the guys have been climbing the charts with their own tune “Smooth” and releasing its Vegas-inspired music video, co-directed by Brian Kelley. Meanwhile, Tyler Hubbard and his wife are busy changing all their nursery decor from blue to pink, now that they know they’re having a baby girl — not a boy like they’d been told originally.
The Florida Georgia Line/Backstreet Boys pairing on CMT Crossroads is set to air on Wednesday, Aug. 30 at 10PM ET on CMT.
