Gary Allan Joins Boot Campaign to Support the Troops
You wouldn't think that a pair of shoes could change someone's life, but in Gary Allan's case, trading in cowboy kickers for a pair of combat boots is a great way to support our troops. As a former military man himself, Allan is joining Dolly Parton, Charlie Daniels, George Jones and other notable celebs in the Boot Campaign, which helps soldiers cope with physical and emotional issues as they return home.
"As a former member of the Army, this holds a special place in my heart," Gary says, according to the Boot. "I'm proud to work with such a fine organization. I'm headlining the Throwdown Tour this year and was glad to see that the Boot Campaign was going to be on the road with us. It's great that a tour of this size is working hand in hand with the Boot Campaign, supporting veterans as they come home from combat ... it just feels right."
You don't have to be a notable country star to participate in the Boot Campaign -- anyone can join in. The concept is pretty simple: You buy boots or other clothing items from the campaign, and the proceeds from your purchase raise money for participating military service charities. What could be easier?
