No. 25: George Strait, ‘Check Yes or No’ – Top 100 Country Songs

It's the question George Strait asked country music fans in 1995, and fortunately for the country legend, his legions of loyal fans indeed loved him and wanted to be his friend. 'Check Yes or No' was released as the lead chart-topping single from 'Strait Out of the Box,' and helped the collection become one of the best-selling box sets in all genres of music with more than eight million units sold.

Written by Danny Wells and Dana Hunt, or No. 25 entry on the Top 100 Country Songs countdown earned the CMA and ACM Single of the Year honors the same year. Strait was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2006.
