Hit songwriters Cary Barlowe and Hillary Lindsey celebrated the new year with a brand new bundle of joy. The couple welcomed a baby girl last week, and Barlowe posted a photo of the newborn Wednesday (Jan. 6) on Instagram to introduce her to the world.

"One week ago today this sweet Baby Girl came into the world and changed our lives forever!" he writes.

Both Nashville-based country songwriters, Barlowe and Lindsey had a very successful 2015. Barlowe was named SESAC's 2015 Songwriter of the Year in November, while Lindsey took home two CMA Awards for Single of the Year and Song of the Year for Little Big Town's "Girl Crush," which she co-wrote with Lori McKenna and Liz Rose. "Girl Crush" is also nominated for Song of the Year, Best Country Duo/Group Performance and Best Country Song at the 58th Annual Grammy Awards. Lindsey has previously written several No. 1 hits for Carrie Underwood including "Jesus Take the Wheel," "Wasted," "So Small," "Just a Dream," "Last Name" and "Two Black Cadillacs."

Barlowe has seen success with multiple No. 1 hit songs on country radio, including Florida Georgia Line's "Sun Daze," Dustin Lynch's "Where It's At (Yep, Yep)" and Lady Antebellum's "American Honey."
