Home Free pay tribute to Rascal Flatts in their "Life Is a Highway" video — the a capella group's latest cover.

The three-minute clip has them bringing the song to life — literally — from the road as they travel in their tour bus throughout their 2017 Timeless Tour. Home Free's version of "Life Is a Highway" begins with a shot of their bus hitting the pavement, and the band's memorable harmonies are soon heard.

The video then segues to the fivesome on stage entertaining their fans, with shots from backstage and of a band member talking to his family back home, via FaceTime. It's the less glamorous part of life on the road, being away from loved ones.

"Life Is a Highway" is featured on Home Free's album Timeless. While was released by Rascal Flatts in 2006 and Chris LeDoux in 1998, it was first done in 1991 by singer Tom Cochrane, who wrote it. Timeless features several popular country and pop songs, including Blake Shelton and Trace Adkins' "Hillbilly Bone," as well as John Mayer's "In the Blood," which they loved.

In an interview with Taste of Country, Home Free explained why they chose Mayer's country single for inclusion. "These lyrics, they tell so much," Austin Brown says. "The song just stands on its own." Fellow Home Free vocalist Tim Foust was also drawn to the song, calling it "brilliant."

Home Free won the fourth season of The Sing-Off in 2013. They hit the road again beginning March 1 for the next leg of their Timeless Tour.
