This summer's best tours show off the veritable cream of the crop in country solo acts -- veterans of the stage who know how to consistently and unflinchingly put on an absolutely killer concert. Even better, these masters of the sizzling summer show are sharing the stage with a mix of opening acts who are well on their way to headlining a tour of their own.
Keith Urban is on the hot list for the second year in a row with his Raise 'Em Up Tour, proving that he's the energizer bunny of country music. Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert may be married, but they won't see much of each other with their Ten Times Crazier (him) and Platinum (her) Tours. None of these superstars are No. 1 on the ToC list of Hot Summer Tours however.
Keith Urban's Raise 'Em Up Tour
Opening: Jerrod Niemann and Brett Eldredge
Keith Urban just finished his Light the Fuse Tour (not to mention his second year judging for Fox's 'American Idol'), but the superstar isn't taking a break just yet. On July 12, he'll kick off the Raise 'Em Up Tour in Canada, hitting outdoor festivals and venues across North America through September. With an extensive catalog of hits to choose from, almost every song that Urban plays is a fan favorite. He's also taking Jerrod Niemann and Brett Eldredge on the road with him, rounding out a show that's sure to be electric.
If you've seen Luke Bryan live, you know that his concerts aren't just concerts -- they're dance parties. It's no secret the singer has some signature moves that add a certain amount of swagger to his act, and his live shows are unfailing crowd pleasers. And now that Bryan has extended his That's My Kind of Night Tour through the summer, fans are going to be even more pleased. Bryan will still be joined by hot country acts Lee Brice and Cole Swindell, but this time they'll be playing stadiums. It looks like even arenas can't hold this party down.
Opening: The Band Perry, Neal McCoy and Dan and Shay
Blake Shelton is pulling out all the stops for his Ten Times Crazier Tour. Not only is the country hitmaker bringing along some of the hottest opening acts like the Band Perry, Neal McCoy and Dan + Shay, he's hitting up a few huge venues along the way. During the four-month, 20-city tour, Shelton will play Wrigley Field in Chicago and the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, not to mention New York's prestigious Madison Square Garden. With a show that's sure to be almost too hot to handle, Ten Times Crazier might just be even crazier than that!
Miranda Lambert's Platinum Tour is kicking everything up a notch. Not only is the 'Automatic' singer revealing a platinum theme and new stage design, she's also bringing along new openers and her vintage Airstream trailer, Wanda the Wanderer. Justin Moore and Thomas Rhett will join Lambert on her 30-city trek across America, with fans inevitably turning out in droves to catch a glimpse of the reigning ACM Female Vocalist. Lambert is a passionate performer and the Platinum tour will showcase one of country music's very best female acts at the top of her game.
Dierks Bentley's 'Riser' album has seen rave reviews from critics and fans alike for its honesty and ability to explore a new sound while staying true to what makes fans love the 'Drunk on a Plane' singer so ardently. For the Riser Tour -- which includes a stop at the Taste of Country Music Festival -- Bentley will be joined by a trifecta of talent in Jon Pardi, Chase Rise, and Chris Young, and he promises that the party will start with some killer tailgating well before anyone even takes the stage. If you can only make it to one concert this summer, make it to this one.
