Hot newcomer Jason Jones took a trip down to Lake Winnepesaukah Amusement Park in Rossville, Ga. last week (Tuesday, June 22), where he shot his very first music video for his debut single, 'Ferris Wheel.'

After Jones and his co-stars sneaked into the closed amusement park, they were like kids in a candy store, riding bumper cars, throwing darts at balloons and, of course, taking a spin on the Ferris wheel.

"It’s been a lot of fun so far," Jones told Taste of Country between takes. "We’ve pretty much commandeered an entire theme park, which is pretty cool. It’s a little more than just commandeering a car! I’m just having a blast! There have been a couple of times out here that I kind of felt like a kid at the fair, just goofing off. With what we’re doing, it’s hard to call it work."

The day prior to his video shoot for 'Ferris Wheel,' Jones spent some time at the amusement park for a photo shoot in preparation for the video's release. However, the time spent in front of the camera didn't take much of the pressure off when the camera crews began rolling Tuesday morning.

"Yesterday I felt myself getting really comfortable towards the end [of the photo shoot]," Jones told us during his lunch break on the set. "I was thinking, ‘I hope I feel like this when we start [filming] tomorrow!’ … I didn’t [laughs]. I’m kind of easing into it a little bit. It feels like it’s getting better as we go."

'Ferris Wheel' is Jones' first release from his current EP on Warner Music Nashville, which hit iTunes in May. "I’ll go on [iTunes] and search myself sometimes," Jones said with a grin. "It’s cool to see that I have six songs on iTunes, and there’s my face and there’s my songs. It’s a neat feeling. I’ve been waiting for that for a long time!"

Jones just wrapped his first radio tour, where he criss-crossed the country visiting country radio to promote 'Ferris Wheel,' which got the thumbs-up everywhere he went. "It’s going really well and getting a good response," Jones says. "I keep looking at my Facebook page and Twitter page, and every day I’m getting new fans or new followers on there. I’m like, ‘I definitely didn’t meet this person at a show … I’ve never been to that state before … I’ve never played a show there.’ So to me, they’re hearing the song on the radio somewhere that I’ve never been, and they’re coming online to check it out. That’s pretty cool. I love it!"
