Keith Urban gave fans more than just his hits at a surprise pop-up show at Buc-ee's in Athens, Ala., on Friday night (Aug. 16). The country superstar donned a Buc-ee's T-shirt and waited on customers ahead of his gig, serving up some of the chain's beloved brisket.

Urban turned to social media on Friday afternoon to give fans just a few hours' advance notice about the show, which took place in the parking lot on a stage set up for the occasion.

"8PM TONIGHT. ATHENS, AL @bucees. We’ll see ya outside in the parking lot - it’s gonna be a blast!" he wrote.

Various pictures on social media show the parking lot jammed with fans enjoying the free show, with some estimating a crowd of more than 5,000 people.

Urban also gave the hometown fans a special treat by performing the Lynyrd Skynyrd classic "Sweet Home Alabama" at the surprise show.

Urban is set to release his next studio album, High, on Sept. 20. Fans have already heard several songs from the album, including “Straight Line,” “Go Home W U” (with Lainey Wilson) and “Messed Up as Me.”
