Lady Antebellum Perform ‘Dancing Away With My Heart’ on ‘The View’
Power trio Lady Antebellum commandeered 'The View' stage yesterday morning (May 1), performing their moving ballad 'Dancing Away With My Heart' from their 'Own the Night' album. The daily gabfest's stage was billowing with clouds of white and purple smoke at Lady A's feet for the entire performance. It was a dramatic effect, but it was almost enough for us to wonder if they needed a fire extinguisher!
Smoke aside, what a way to kick off an early spring day! Lady A offered up a flawless, warm and fuzzy performance of their latest hit. It's one of those songs that makes its point with quiet strength, and the threesome certainly delivered an intimate, sweet rendition, even though millions of fans and 'View'-ers were watching.
Newlywed lead singer Hillary Scott looked especially fashion forward, as she piled on the bling, layering rows of golden necklaces with her all-black outfit. Oh, and Dave Haywood and Charles Kelley were there too.
Lady Antebellum will follow up this high profile daytime TV performance with a trip to prime time. The group is scheduled for a big TV slot, performing on the season finale of 'The Voice' next week.
