Lainey Wilson Is Almost Unrecognizable at New York Fashion Week [Pictures]
Lainey Wilson almost didn't look like Lainey Wilson in her first appearance at New York Fashion Week.
The country singer took to social media to share a few snaps of her perfectly-curated Carolina Herrera ensemble.
At first glance, it appeared Wilson had abandoned her signature bell bottom style, but her long, flowy look was actually a wide-legged jumpsuit — which could arguably be a distant cousin in the bell-bottom family.
The "4X4XU" singer's outfit featured a loud blue and green print and was topped off with heavy gold jewelry, a chunky black belt, and black, large framed sunglasses.
It is also rare to see Wilson without a hat. For this event, her hair was pulled back into a messy bun, creating a glamorous, yet casual look.
"I wore @carolinaherrera for last year’s #CMAawards red carpet, and on the morning of the nomination announcement for the 2024 CMA Awards, I’m heading to my first fashion show for #NYFW, with none other than Carolina Herrera of course," Wilson explains on social media, detailing her history with Herrera's looks.

Lainey Wilson Wore Carolina Herrera at the 2023 CMA Awards
Wilson noted in her social media post the full-circle moment she experienced the morning of her New York Fashion Week appearance. While getting ready in her Herrera attire, she learn that she is four-time nominee at this year's CMA Awards.
Back in 2023, she sported a form-fitting black jumpsuit — also crafted by the designer — at the awards show. The legs of the outfit ruffled out into bell-bottoms, aligning with Wilson's signature look. She took home five awards that night.
It sounds like Herrera might be a fashion good luck charm for the reigning CMA Entertainer of the Year. She's up for that prize again, the lone female artist vying for the EOTY prize in 2024.
