Lindsay Lohan has embodied all types of personas in her long-spanning career in show business, from actress to pop star and from philanthropist to party girl. Apparently, Lohan now wants to add country music singer to this laundry list.

According to sources at Country Music Tattle Tale, Lohan is in negotiations with Big Machine Records to record a country album. It seems that the record company, which is currently home to massive artists like Taylor Swift and Rascal Flatts, knows that it would be a big risk to take on Ms. Lohan. The deal would be for one album only, with a second album opportunity depending on sale revenues from the first album.

If this deal actually happens, it will not be the first time Lohan has stepped into a recording studio. The actress has recorded two pop albums in the past: 'Speak' in 2004 and 'A Little More Personal (Raw)' in 2005. Surprisingly, her first album 'Speak' charted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 chart. Although her debut single 'Rumors' never charted in the US, it became a popular song in both Australia and Germany.

Considering the young starlet has made so many poor choices for herself, from serving time in prison to making bad television movies like ABC Family's 'Labor Pains,' it would actually be really nice to see her succeed in the country world. Her sultry speaking voice could possibly translate to a good singing voice, but we will really have to wait and see. This could be Lohan's best move yet, or it could prove to be another disaster. We hope it isn't the latter!
