When an artist or a band roll into town, they have a contract signed to play a venue for a certain amount of money.

Part of that contract is supplying everything the artist needs to feel most comfortable before and after their performance.

Megan Moroney Requires Some Interesting Things Backstage at Every Show

Moroney was a recent guest on Taste of Country Nights With Evan Paul; she popped in to talk about her brand-new album that drops today, called, Am I Okay.

Moroney is consistently on the road, all across America, playing for her millions of fans.

So, what does it take to get Moroney ready to get on stage in front of thousands each night?

The "Tennessee Orange" singer spilled the tea, and didn't hold back.

"Um, we got some Slim Jims, I usually like the little charcuterie situation, little meat, little cheese."

I have interviewed and asked a lot of country artists what they require backstage, and a full charcuterie board has yet to be on anyone's list.

The "I'm Not Pretty" singer continued telling us what she requires backstage at every show.

"What else do we have on there? Definitely some energy drinks, bottle of wine, it's nothing too crazy, I really don't do anything that crazy."

Turns out there is one thing that this conversation spurred, Moroney realized she needs to add something to her tour rider.

"I was saying I need to put phone chargers on my tour rider because I always forget a phone charger. Like, at all times, my phone battery is at 2 percent, it's so annoying, I'm that person."

I followed up by asking her if her phone screen was always cracked, a symbol of someone who has fun, and of course, she had a great reply.

"Yes, my screen is disgusting right now. I'm like, I'm falling apart, man," she said with a giggle.

Evan Paul is the host of Taste of Country Nights, a syndicated radio show heard on more than 130 country radio stations nationwide, every night from 7PM to midnight.
