Nicole Kidman Staying in Nashville After Keith Urban Divorce

Nicole Kidman may be entering a new chapter after her divorce from Keith Urban — but she’s not leaving Nashville behind.

In fact, the Oscar-winning actress says Tennessee still very much feels like home.

“We have our life here,” Kidman said. “I’m part of the city and community for 20 years. It’s my home.”

Nicole Kidman Breaks Her Silence

Kidman also spoke publicly for the first time about the end of her marriage to the country superstar.

Rather than dwell on the split, the actress kept her focus on moving forward and protecting the family they had built together.

“I’m always going to be moving toward what’s good,” Kidman told Variety. “What I’m grateful for is my family and keeping them as is and moving forward. That’s that.”

She added that she has no interest in publicly unpacking the breakup.

“Everything else I don’t discuss out of respect,” she said. “I’m staying in a place of ‘We are a family,’ and that’s what we’ll continue to be.”

Kidman and Urban share two daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14.

Staying Rooted in Nashville

Kidman’s comments echo what sources previously told PopCrush after the split — that she had grown deeply connected to Nashville life and had no plans to rush back into a full-time Hollywood routine.

“She loves the community,” a confidante shared at the time. “Mornings at Pilates, dinners with girlfriends, charity auctions — she feels grounded here.”

According to those close to the actress, Kidman has continued spending time with friends and staying active around the city.

“She earned this peace,” the source added. “She built these friendships. She’s not abandoning them just because her marriage ended.”
