Rascal Flatts’ Jay DeMarcus Producing Songs for Jennette McCurdy

If you are a country newcomer looking for a seasoned producer, who could possibly be better than a member of Rascal Flatts? After all, they are one of the most popular country groups of the decade, performing at countless sold-out arenas and selling over 20 million albums since 2000. No wonder Nickelodeon actress and country singer Jennette McCurdy is so thrilled to have Jay DeMarcus producing tracks for her upcoming album.

McCurdy, who stars on Nickelodeon's hit show 'iCarly,' took to Twitter a couple of days ago to announce her big news. The 18-year-old wrote, "You guys, I have the best news!! Rascal Flatts (one of my favorite bands!) member Jay DeMarcus is producing several BRAND NEW songs of mine... Wanted you guys to be the first to know. Wow. I can't believe it... Woohoo! Let's make some rockin' music!"

DeMarcus then posted a tweet stating how excited he is to work with the comedic actress and up-and-coming singer. He wrote, "Any 'iCarly' fans out there?? I'm producing some songs on Jennette McCurdy tmrw... She plays Sam on the show... Good stuff!!"
