Reba McEntire is no stranger to the big screen, but she's taking on a very unique acting challenge in an upcoming film.

The country icon posted a picture of herself in the studio to Facebook on Monday (Aug. 17), letting fans know that she had just completed some voiceover work on the upcoming installment of the beloved The Land Before Time films. McEntire is providing the voice for a new character named Etta for the movie, which is slated for release in the early part of 2016.

The Land Before Time was released in 1988 and has gone on to become a family classic, spawning a slew of sequels. The story follows an orphaned Apatosaurus named Littlefoot and his friends. According to the series’ Facebook page, the upcoming installment is titled The Land Before Time XIV: Journey of the Brave and will be released direct to video. The plot will follow Littlefoot and his friends as they “head out to the Mysterious Beyond to find Littlefoot’s father, Bron, after he fails to return to the Great Valley and mysteriously disappears.” It's the first new Land Before Time film in eight years.

McEntire previously appeared on Broadway in Annie Get Your Gun, and from 2001-2007 she starred in the sitcom Reba on the WB and the CW. She has also been in numerous theatrical and television movies. The country legend has been keeping busy since announcing her separation from husband and manager Narvel Blackstock recently, making the rounds to promote a new single, "Until They Don't Love You," from her current album, Love Somebody.
