Two of the most powerful voices in country music joined for a very special performance on Wednesday night (Oct. 21), when Reba McEntire and Martina McBride got together to perform McEntire's hit, "Does He Love You?"

The performance took place during an event at City Winery in Nashville for Musicians on Call, an organization whose goal is to "deliver the healing power of music" by delivering live, in-room performances to patients who are undergoing treatment or unable to leave their beds. McEntire, McBride and young rising star Kelsea Ballerini were on hand to pay tribute to some of the volunteers who help bring the organization to life, including Shane Tarleton, who ended up sitting between the two country stars as they performed the iconic song.

McEntire was initially slated to sing four songs, but she went over her time when she invited McBride to the stage for the song, which McEntire released as a duet with Linda Davis in 1993. The song reached No. 1 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart and won a Grammy for Best Country Vocal Collaboration, as well as a CMA award for Vocal Event of the Year.

"I think there's one thing missing," McBride said after McEntire brought her to the stage. "I don't think it would be quite right unless we got Shane up here on stage." Tarleton is the Creative Director at Warner Music Nashville. He sat on a stool between the two iconic vocalists as they traded lines on the song in a powerful acoustic performance that brought him to tears, with McEntire comically acting out some of the lines from her character live onstage.
