Sara Evans tops the country music singles chart this week with her latest release, 'A Little Bit Stronger.' The tune, which can be found on Evans' 'Stronger' album that was released in March, was written by tune-smiths Hillary Lindsey, Luke Laird and Lady Antebellum's Hillary Scott.

'A Little Bit Stronger' was a title that the writers stumbled upon after Scott was sharing details about her recent breakup. From there, the three penned a "strong" song with powerful lyrics, which was the perfect comeback song to country radio for Evans after going through her own personal struggles in recent years.

"Lady A was actually planning on cutting the song originally," Laird tells Taste of Country. "For whatever reason, things didn't work out. That was when Sara put the song on hold. It's really amazing how it all worked out. It was a cool song for Sara to sing because of where she was at in her career. It's so gratifying to see her come back and have that song and see how well it's done for her."

Coming in at No. 2 this week on the charts is Miranda Lambert's 'Heart Like Mine,' followed by Kenny Chesney's previous chart topper, 'Live a Little,' which drops this week to the No. 3 position.
