Blake Shelton has been named Sexiest Man Alive 2017 by People, and the country star appears to be loving it. In a recent Facebook video posted by the mag, Shelton lets everyone know he is the Sexiest Man Alive and that his fellow The Voice coach Adam Levine is not.

The frenemies — who both cast their star on NBC's The Voice — like to take friendly (and maybe sometimes, not so friendly) jabs at each on television and behind the scenes and it's no doubt that Shelton is reveling is his most recent public display.

In the video, Shelton doesn't say a word. Instead he creates a cue card story that begins with "Hey Adam / It's me, the sexiest man alive," followed by jabs such as "Remember when you had the title? / That was 2013 / A confusing time."

Levine was indeed voted People's Sexiest Man Alive in 2013, but Shelton considers that old news and clearly accepts his reign as the new icon. In fact, his final cue cards read: "To me, you are not perfect / And I'm the sexy one now."

Ouch.

In an interview with People Country, Shelton doesn't hide what this honor truly means to him: “I can’t wait to shove this up Adam’s a--,” he says. “As proud as I am and honored that you guys asked me, that’s really the only thing I care about.”

The Oklahoma-born Shelton, 41, has transitioned into one of country music's most lovable characters over his long career and now, he can officially add "heartthrob" to the list.
