Taylor Swift fans have made sure her 2012 begins the way her 2011 ended. Getting the most votes in four categories, Swift is one of the big winners of the 2011 Taste of Country Awards. All 10 award winners were decided by readers and fans. The 22-year-old will have to find room on her list of awards she's won for Artist of the Year, Video of the Year, Tour of the Year and Best New Pet (for her kitten Meredith) honors from Taste of Country.

While she collected nearly a third of all votes in each category she won, none were a landslide victory. The 2011 Taste of Country Tour of the Year and Video of the Year Awards were won by less than four percent of the votes. Jason Aldean provided stiff competition for both awards. His My Kinda Party Tour collected just over 29 percent of the votes in the Tour of the Year category, and his 'Tattoos on this Town' video collected 28.5 percent of the Video of the Year votes.

Swift's new kitten Meredith proved to be much too adorable to be ignored. The singer has taken to tweeting often about the kitty, and the videos and pictures she's posted of Meredith doing mischievous and adorable things are no doubt what propelled the duo to the top of the Best New Pet category. Miranda Lambert's new cat Ilsa finished second in that category, followed by Jake Owen's dog Merle and Kellie Pickler and Lady Antebellum singer Hillary Scott's pets.

The Artist of the Year award is the inaugural Taste of Country Awards' biggest honor -- although Meredith may disagree. Swift takes home that honor with just over 29 percent of the votes, followed by Aldean, Blake Shelton, Brad Paisley and Lady Antebellum. The 'Ours' singer can add this title to her growing collection of similar awards, including 2011 CMA Entertainer of the Year and 2011 American Music Award Artist of the Year honors. Congratulations to Taylor Swift and her fans for kicking butt this awards season.
