On May 2, Taylor Swift was one of the many starlets to grace the red carpet at the 2011 Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum in New York City. This year's gala, with the theme 'Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty,' was set up to honor the memory of late designer Alexander McQueen, whose design house most recently constructed Kate Middleton's royal wedding gown.

At the show, celebrities wore elaborate, dramatized gowns from a variety of high fashion designers. Ms. Swift stepped out wearing a nude, satin gown designed by J Mendel. The dress has one shoulder, black lace and sequined accents, and a long, flowing train. The 'Mean' singer also had darker, more theatrical makeup on than we're used to seeing from the fresh-faced 21-year-old. Check out these pictures of Taylor Swift at the Met Gala and let us know what you think of her gown.
