When Taylor Swift worked with director Declan Whitebloom on her new 'Ours' video, she didn't spend all of her time in front of the camera. Whitebloom realized that in order to make the video's home movie clips -- scenes of Swift's character and her love interest that are sprinkled throughout the narrative -- more realistic, he'd have to put Swift behind the camera, too.

"About to go make some videos -- home movies and cute things that I'm gonna be reminiscing back on while I'm in my awful work day," the singer says in the behind-the-scenes clip below.

To shoot these home movies, they used an 8 mm camera effect, which Whitebloom calls "kind of '60s." Swift and actor Zach Gilford, who plays her boyfriend in the 'Ours' video, shot most of the home movie footage themselves.

"That's created a much more genuine, less professional look, which is what we were going for the whole time," Whitebloom explains.

Check out the behind-the-scenes look at their camera work in this new video clip. It's webisode No. 8 out of a series of 13 in the making of the 'Ours' video, so keep an eye out for the remainder of the series on Taste of Country as the week goes on.
