Tim McGraw and Faith Hill Skipped the ACM Awards for a Good Reason
Tim McGraw and Faith Hill were noticeably absent from Sunday night's (April 19) ACM Awards, but the power couple had a pretty good reason for skipping out.
Instead of Country Music's Biggest Party, the pair went to New York for another red carpet event — the premiere of Hill's new movie, Dixieland, which made its debut on Sunday at the Tribeca Film Festival. Of course, Taste of Country Festival performer McGraw went along to support his wife, rather than splitting up so he could visit the home of the Dallas Cowboys, and together they made their own Best Dressed list. McGraw wore a grey suit with a blue undershirt, while Hill opted for all black. She looked every bit the leading lady with her short, stylish new hairdo and a black dress.
Dixieland is an independent film in which Hill plays the role of Arletta. Riley Keough is also in the upcoming film — she's the granddaughter of Elvis Presley. Steve Earle appears as well, as does Breaking Bad's RJ Mitte. This isn't Hill's first flick, as she was in The Stepford Wives back in 2004. Husband McGraw is a big friend to the big screen, too.
