The fan-voted awards show, which are in their 9th consecutive year, hosts a plethora of country artists, from crossover musicians like Sheryl Crow to country rockers like Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan.

Kid Rock and Wynonna Judd kicked of the performances at the 2011 CMT Music Awards, and in these pictures, you can witness Judd stopping Kid Rock during a throwback rendition of his breakout rap-rock song 'Bawitdaba.' Also taking the stage tonight were Toby Keith, Rascal Flatts and the reincarnation of the Muzik Mafia with a performance from Big and Rich and Gretchen Wilson.

One of the most memorable aspects of the 2011 CMT Music Awards was the presence of pop music. Not only did Justin Bieber attend and Jason Aldean perform with Ludacris, but the Band Perry and Lady Antebellum also exercised their pop muscles. The Band Perry started their performance of 'You Lie' by singing some of 'Love the Way You Lie' by Eminem and Rihanna, while Lady A took on Prince's 'Kiss.'
