The 2014 Teen Choice Awards are right around the corner, and country fans should definitely tune in this year! Big country names have snagged a few nominations, spanning well beyond just the country categories.

Now that the nominees have been announced, the voting can begin (they ask that only teens vote), and some big country artists will be competing for that signature surfboard trophy. Taylor Swift has picked up nominates for Choice Female Artist and for Choice Smile (thanks to those pearly whites!).

Actress/country singer Lucy Hale is also up for an award this year, but not for her vocal chops. She's nominated for her portrayal as Aria in Pretty Little Liars. Hale will compete in the Choice TV Actress: Drama category.

There are three main country categories, including Choice Male Country Artist, Choice Female Country Artist and Choice Country Group. This is where things get interesting and the competition gets extra tough.

Luke Bryan and Blake Shelton will go head to head in the Choice Male Country Artist category. The competition doesn't stop there -- Hunter Hayes, Jake Owen and Keith Urban are also trying to take home the surfboard in that realm.

The Choice Female Country Artist category has some of country's leading ladies. Miranda Lambert will go up with her 'Somethin' Bad' duet partner, Carrie Underwood, also competing against Kacey Musgraves, Jana Kramer and Taylor Swift.

Then, Choice Country Group puts Florida Georgia Line, Lady Antebellum, Parmalee, the Band Perry and Zac Brown Band in the ring for a big win.

The 2014 Teen Choice Awards air live on Aug. 10 on FOX. The host(s), performers and presenters have yet to be announced, but we're hopeful a country name or two will be dropped in the list. For a full list of nominees -- or to place your vote -- visit the Teen Choice Awards website.
