Carrie Underwood joined Runaway June and Maddie & Tae onstage at the 2018 CMT Artists of the Year ceremony for a show-closing tribute to some of country music's most influential women that brought the house down.
The 2018 CMT Artists of the Year event honored the women of country music, including Underwood, Miranda Lambert, Kelsea Ballerini, Maren Morris, Karen Fairchild and Kimberly Schlapman from Little Big Town and Lady Antebellum singer Hillary Scott. Underwood hit the stage with Runaway June and Maddie & Tae — who are slated to open for her on her upcoming Cry Pretty Tour 360 in 2019 — to perform a tribute medley that included songs from some of the most prominent women in the history of the genre.
