Blake Shelton Delivers the ‘Truth’ Amidst Baby and Divorce Rumors

Blake Shelton's marriage to Miranda Lambert has been the subject of intense speculation recently, with various tabloid reports alternately claiming that the couple are either divorcing or having a baby together.

In a new interview, the 'Sure Be Cool if You Did' hitmaker brushed aside those rumors with his trademark sense of humor.

"Well, we've been working on it for quite a while, if you know what I'm sayin'!" Shelton quipped to 'Extra' host Mario Lopez when asked about starting a family.

"Let me tell you something, it's funny, because you see these magazines pop up," the singer adds, continuing, "We're getting divorced, we're having a baby -- there's all these things going on."

Shelton -- whose penchant for drunk tweets has become something of a legend -- says, "The truth is, I've been drinking a lot, and I don't remember what all's been happening in my life lately."

He jokes, "So I pick up those magazines and find out what the real truth is."

Lambert's mother recently denied that the singer is expecting. As for her marriage to Shelton, from all outward appearances it's still going strong as ever. Last week, Shelton surprised his wife onstage at her show in Bakersfield, Calif. to celebrate their two-year anniversary a bit early.
