Blake Shelton Will See You Now: Singer Undergoes Eye Surgery
From now on, the future will be looking even brighter for country star Blake Shelton — though he probably won't have to wear those goofy shades for long. The 39-year-old country star underwent Lasik eye surgery on Wednesday (July 15) to get his vision to a perfect 20/20.
And in true BS fashion, the singer took to Twitter announce the procedure and laugh in the face of possible worries, instead having some fun at his expense:
No pictures have surfaced yet of Shelton sporting the funny protective glasses that they make you wear.
The "Sangria" singer isn't the only family member dealing with medical woes as of late. His wife Miranda Lambert was forced to cancel her appearance last Thursday night (July 9) at Calgary Stampede due to illness. The concert will be rescheduled, and fans are urged to hold onto their tickets for the new date, which has not yet been announced. After a week of rest and recovery, the female country-rocker has been cleared for her July 17 show in Minot, N.D.
Both Sheltons have spent the summer on the bills of various festivals and fairs, and they'll meet again at WE Fest from August 6-8. Both the “Smokin’ and Drinkin’” singer will play headlining sets before Lambert starts to prep for her upcoming fall Roadside Bars & Pink Guitars tour, which will feature openers RaeLynn, Ashley Monroe, Clare Dunn and Courtney Cole.
