Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert Release ‘America the Beautiful’ Duet
Blake Shelton will be busier than half the football players playing on Super Bowl Sunday. In addition to kicking off the new season of 'The Voice' when the big game finishes, he and wife Miranda Lambert will take the stage to sing their version of 'America the Beautiful' before the game begins. Shelton and Lambert have just released the song to iTunes.
The country superstars trade verses in the song before coming together for the final cathartic choruses. The performance before Super Bowl XLVI marks their first television performance together since they were married in May 2011.
Shelton's return to the 'The Voice' on NBC begins at 10PM ET this Sunday, Feb. 5, or after the game and postgame festivities wrap up. It's his second season on the hit reality show. This season promises to feature more audition rounds, giving judges more opportunity to get dizzy in their swivel chairs. Lambert is currently on tour with Jerrod Niemann and Chris Young.
