Scotty McCreery thought he'd be finished with his daily duties on Brad Paisley's Virtual Reality Tour in time to catch 'American Idol' during its weekly airtime this season. As fans in Grand Rapids, Mich., Milwaukee, Wisc. and St. Paul, Minn. found out last weekend, the season 10 champ isn't done after completing a seven song setlist.

As opening acts have done frequently in the past, both McCreery and the Band Perry emerged for Paisley's hit 'Alcohol' during the encore. Each act was spotlighted earlier in his set as well -- the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports that McCreery helped Paisley sing 'Celebrity,' while the sibling trio provided a haunting second voice to 'Whiskey Lullaby.'
