The 2019 ACM Awards take place in Las Vegas Sunday (April 7), and true to the locale, this is the country awards show that delivers a bit of edge. Carrie Underwood, who will be taking the stage twice to perform, showed off her Vegas vibes during rehearsals in a post to Instagram. She's dressed like quite the rocker, in a Guns N' Roses t-shirt, ripped jeans, and some seriously wicked metallic heels that she terms #RehearsalShoes.

Underwood will be part of a group performance of “I’m Standing with You” from the movie Breakthrough; she'll hit it with the film's star Chrissy Metz—who is making her debut on the awards show—plus Lauren AlainaMaddie & Tae and Mickey Guyton. She also will be delivering her single “Southbound," on her own.

Performing with Metz is a change for Underwood, and, as she tells the Tennessean, her approach on stage this time is going to be different. She plans to get up close and personal with the crowd. “The performance is all about this party vibe and getting me into the audience, which is another thing that is a little bit new for me,” she explains. "So much of awards shows is us standing on stage, and there’s this separation, and I want to get in there."
