Carrie Underwood’s ‘Good Girl’ Wins Video of the Year at 2012 CMT Music Awards
Right after performing 'Good Girl,' the gilded goddess Carrie Underwood returned to the stage to pick up her award for Video of the Year at the 2012 CMT Music Awards tonight (June 6). Country legend Alan Jackson, who revealed that he has made 54 music videos over the course of his career and pointed out the importance of the medium, presented Underwood with her buckle for the biggest award of the evening.
"Thank you guys so much, everyone that's been voting for any one of us tonight, I know how great of company I am in as far as the other nominees," Underwood said graciously. "I want to thank you guys for watching the videos, for voting for them. Thank you country radio and CMT, of course. I'd like to dedicate this award to my aunt. I'll just say I'll dedicate it to her. Thank you Mike, I love you. Fan club members!"
While Underwood stopped short of saying why she was dedicating the award to her aunt, she really did try and stuff everyone into the speech, since so many celebs and artists are often criticized for who they forget to thank during such a pressurized moment.
Congrats to Carrie Underwood for winning the coveted Video of the Year award at the 2012 CMTs.
