It's almost that time of year again! Just 10 more days until NFL fanatics can enjoy the opening night of Sunday Night Football—which comes with the added bonus of Carrie Underwood delivering the much-loved show open. This year, she'll be performing "Game On" Sept. 9 along with a host of league pros from seven different teams.

To whet fans' appetites, Underwood posted a behind-the-scenes look at the new opening segment, which was directed by Tripp Dixon and features Underwood, as well as the athletes, captured outside the traditional soundstage setting and in cities across America representing their respective home bases.

Viewers can swipe right to watch the two-part video, which features stunning peeks at Underwood giving the song her full-throttle treatment, while the players are caught in vivid action shots on the field.

"Carrie brought us a new song and it kind of inspired us to get out of the soundstage," explains Dixon. "Any time you work with a big star like Carrie, and combine it with NFL's best, you know it's going to be big, and you know it's going to be fun."

"We just felt like it was time to maybe switch it up," notes Underwood, regarding the choice of "Game On" for the 2018 season. "[The song] was written specifically for Sunday Night Football, and I think it's such a great hype song."

The open makes its debut on NBC, with a matchup featuring the Green Bay Packers hosting the Chicago Bears directly following. Sunday Night Football is prime-time television's No. 1 show for seven years running,

This year marks the sixth season that Underwood will be singing the SNF theme. Underwood will release her brand new album Cry Pretty on Sept. 14.
