Kacey Musgraves Takes Rhinestone Revue to CMA Awards

Kacey Musgraves brought her own style straight from her Rhinestone Revue to the stage of the 2015 CMA Awards with a magical performance of her tune “Dimestore Cowgirl,” from her sophomore album, Pageant Material.

The Grammy-winning singer was literally sparkling, her throwback-country style outfit doused in crystals, as she plucked a shimmering six-string in front of a quirky and fun animated backdrop helping tell the story. Her band fit the theme, clad in ornate pink old-school suits and cowboy hats.

The tune is an homage to Musgraves’ roots, and she sang it with the honesty and conviction she always brings to her songs.

Pageant Material was nominated for Album of the Year at the 2015 CMAs, and Musgraves was also up for Female Vocalist of the Year. She’s currently on the road on the Kacey Musgraves Country & Western Rhinestone Revue around the country.
