Kacey Musgraves’ Wedding Shower Is Full of Sparkle (and Succulents)

Kacey Musgraves is getting closer and closer to walking down the aisle with singer-songwriter Ruston Kelly, and the couple celebrated their nuptials with a wedding shower over the weekend, hosted by longtime friend, songwriter and producer Shane McAnally.

It was a co-ed shower for both man and wife-to-be, with friends and family toasting the happy couple, according to pictures from the event, which were shared by Musgraves and guests.

"Little bit of sparkle, a little bit of smoke, a little bit queer and a WHOLE LOTTA LOVE 💛 Thank you @shanemcanally + @michaelmcanallybaum for the perfect weddin' shower celebration," Musgraves writes alongside a series of photos posted to Instagram.

McAnally shared pictures too, writing "So honored to celebrate these lovebirds." His photos show that artist guests Brothers Osborne's John Osborne and his wife, singer Lucie Silvas were in attendance.

Musgraves met Kelly while catching a show at Nashville's famed Bluebird Cafe. She shared the details behind their first meeting in a heartfelt Instagram post in August to wish her man a happy birthday.

“This man is the most patient, hilarious, gorgeous, honest soul you could ever meet,” she says, telling the story of how she went to the Bluebird Cafe one night alone, which changed her life forever. “Never knew that I would hear his songs and be meeting the love of my life. Never saw him coming but sometimes life has you under its wing and you don’t even realize it.”

Musgraves and Kelly got engaged on Christmas Eve in 2016. He popped the question in Musgraves’ childhood home while visiting for the holidays.
