Kane Brown has partnered with longtime friend Lauren Alaina on his new single "What Ifs." A lyric video for the song features Brown driving down the open road while trying to convince a girl  — Alaina — not to worry too much about the "what if's" in their relationship.

"You say what if I hurt you? What if I leave you? What if I find somebody else and I don't need you?" Brown sings over a beat-heavy production.

Alaina enters on the chorus, harmonizing as Brown suggests he's not just "one of them fools playin' some game." Instead, he asks, "what if I loved all these what ifs away?" Watch the "What Ifs" lyric video above. Brown co-wrote the song with Matthew McGinn and Jordan Schmidt. It was produced by Dann Huff and is featured on Brown's debut album, released in December.

The singer is kissing those what ifs about marriage away, as he recently shared the happy news that he's engaged.

“It’s hard to do this job — you know, there’s girls involved — you’ve got to stay out of trouble, it’s really hard," the 23-year-old Brown said at a show in April, setting up the big news. “I just got engaged to a girl from Philadelphia. This is my first time making this announcement, but we’re in Philly, so I thought I had to go ahead and make the announcement.”

Brown asked singer Katelyn Jae to marry him on April 16. It's not clear when the wedding bells will ring.
