Keith Urban has revealed a lyric video for his newest single, "Break on Me."

The clip displays the lyrics to the powerful song in block letters against the backdrop of a crinkled piece of paper. Written by Ross Copperman and Jon Nite, the touching ballad offers solace to all of those who are in emotional pain, and it's particularly fitting since Urban has just suffered the loss of his beloved father, Robert. The elder Urban passed away on Dec. 5 after a long battle with cancer, and his son paid tribute to him just days before at the unveiling of his Keith Urban So Far exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in downtown Nashville.

"[The exhibit] is bittersweet a little bit because [my dad] is the catalyst for all of this," Urban told Nashville's Tennessean newspaper at the opening. "My dad is the catalyst for me living in America.”

In fact, his father sewed some of the adorable costumes young Urban wore onstage as a child performer.

“My dad particularly always thought it was important that I dressed like a performer,” Urban says. “A lot of these country music talent quests I did in Australia, they often had categories for best dressed male or best dressed female and I often won. Sometimes it was the only thing I won."

"Break on Me" is from Urban's forthcoming studio album, Ripcord, which he plans to release in 2016. No further details have been announced.
