Kelly Clarkson continues to inch closer and closer to a full-blown country career. How so? Well, she offered up another cover of one of the genre's smashes during a recent live gig. The perky, powerful singer takes fan Twitter requests for live covers and at her show in Perth in Australia, she tackled Carrie Underwood's 'Blown Away,' putting her own unique spin on it. We love when one 'American Idol' winner covers another.

Clarkson prefaced her version but sharing the fact that she would be changing the arrangement and doing the song her way. It was respectful of the original, but had its own distinct personality and twists.

"We had this song requested quite a bit and I was trying to wait and I didn't know exactly how I wanted to do it, but I knew I wanted to change the production," Clarkson said. "This is probably my favorite Carrie Underwood song. It's super dark and cool. So we're going to do our own version of 'Blown Away.'"

For her "own" version, Clarkson turned it into an acoustic rendition, with her dramatic, soaring vocals. She slowed the song down, and it stripped it to its bones, and built up to a roaring crescendo, where her voice ripped the roof off the venue.

We bet Carrie Underwood would give this cover two thumbs up. It was different, yes, but it was also well-done.
